Job descriptionThe Domestic Violence Shelter Manager will provide day-to-day management of the shelter including daily living scheduling, oversight of donations and food shopping.Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain a safe and supportive environment where victims can healOrient new clients to the program and facilityComplete bed bug protocol with new clientsEnsure facilities are ready for new clientsAddress any needs of residentsEnforce program guidelines to ensure a safe and secure environmentAnswer hotline calls as neededConducts Room checksEnforces rules and regulations of the residenceMonitor facility and coordinate repairs as neededAssign weekly chores and assist in skill buildingProvide ongoing information during staffing regarding individual issues and concernsMaintain a supportive, professional relationship with all staff and volunteersParticipate in PQI activities as requestedShift: Part time- Sunday 9am-Monday 9am. 5 hours of rest during the shift, every other weekend. Minimum Education and Experience:The Shelter Manager will have a minimum High School Diploma, with some college preferred.Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence, non-profit or shelter settings preferredMust have a valid driver's license, driver's insurance and pass all background checksWill be required to live on site and have separate living space
