Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented GL accountant to perform accounting tasks in collaboration with internal departments. You will be conducting audits on the accuracy of our financial information, providing assurance that our accounting practices adhere to regulations, and performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations.

Position Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze information needed to prepare journal entries.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements.

• Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.

• Research and document financial statement variances, making corrections as needed.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.

• Track and maintain bank account and credit card activity.

• Pursue efficiencies and process improvement opportunities.

• Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.

• 1+ years accounting experience preferred.

• Proficient in Excel, Access or SQL preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to multi-task and possess a high attention to detail.

Experience:

• Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)
• General ledger accounting: 2 years (Preferred)
• Balance sheet reconciliation: 2 years (Preferred)
