Radius Aerospace- Hot Springs is a leading manufacturer of sheet metal parts and assemblies used in the aviation industry. We utilize a wide range of metal forming techniques and special manufacturing processes, servicing the commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets.

Position Summary

Use predetermined methods, operations, and steps to inspect in-process and complete units and subsystems. Inspect and/or test raw material or processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear and/ deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge in Blueprint reading, Precision measurements and Applied math
  • Strong organization skills and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrate concern for safety regarding the potential injury to fellow workers and yourself
  • Demonstrate concern towards safety regarding damage to machinery, equipment, or material
  • Proficient with researching, interpreting, and applying customer specifications & work instructions or procedures
  • Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web-based applications
  • Basic knowledge of Work Health & Safety as they apply to a safe work environment
  • Verbal and interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Preferred knowledge in 5S/Lean principles

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Aerospace or similar manufacturing, repair or modifications environment
  • Experience in reading aerospace blueprints and using precision measuring instruments
  • Working knowledge of aircraft/structural assembly processes
  • Understanding of FAI and general Inspection procedures preferred
  • Proficient with researching, interpreting, and applying customer specifications & work instructions or procedures
  • Computer skills necessary to learn/operate word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web-based applications
  • Basic knowledge of Work Health & Safety as they apply to a work safe environment
  • Preferred knowledge in 5S/Lean principles

Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to successfully pass all required QA inspector proficiency exams
  • History of displayed work ethics, punctuality, and overall reliability
  • Overtime and shift flexibility
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
