About You
As a Veterinary technician you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Experience in veterinary oncology and chemotherapy administration preferred
- Veterinary Technician experience required
- Phlebotomy and IV catheter skills required
- Ability to monitor and recognize patient's status, adverse reactions, and side effects of treatments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, the oncology team, and other departments.
- Familiarity with Ezy Vet and Smartflow is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities to effectively meet patient needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Veterinary technician licensure preferred, not required
- 1-2 years of clinical experience highly preferred
- An associate or bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Compensation:
Wage dependent on experience--$20-22+/hr
