Monitor Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented, focused, and dependable Monitor Technician to join our Telemetry Monitoring team. Under the supervision of an RN, this position is responsible for continual cardiac/telemetry monitoring, promptly identifying and reporting changes, and supporting safe patient care on our critical care and stepdown units. This is an excellent role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, has strong situational awareness, and wants to play a critical behind-the-scenes role in patient safety.

Perform continuous surveillance of multiple telemetry monitors.

Identify significant arrhythmias or signs of patient distress and immediately notify nursing staff.

Recognize and correct telemetry artifacts.

Report abnormal telemetry findings and changes in patient condition.

Test equipment and report any malfunctions.

Support the unit by maintaining accuracy, awareness, and timely communication.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Certifications:

• Handle With Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire/transfer.
