This is a role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i)
Perform skilled fitting and/or mechanical or hydraulic type assembly of parts, sub-assemblies, and related units
using a variety of hand tools, power tools, or equipment, and (ii) Perform in-depth inspection to ensure the
product meets specifications and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform skilled fitting and/or mechanical or hydraulic type assembly of parts, sub-assemblies, and related units using a variety of hand tools, power tools, or equipment
Perform in-depth inspection to ensure the product meets specifications and quality standards
Do aligning, adjusting, and required secondary machining
Work from drawings and specifications and shop orders
Use required precision measuring instruments and gauging devices
Operate cranes and hoists or lift tables
Identify product defects and report on issues to appropriate personnel
Keep accurate production records/logs etc.
Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams
Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications
No minimum education required
1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment or can demonstrate sufficient competence in area
Intermediate understanding of mechanical concepts/mechanical aptitude
Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, and sit up
Ability to use hand to finger, handle, and feel
Ability to climb and balance
Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
Ability to reach with hands and arms
Ability to see, talk, and hear
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
The pay range for this position is $18.41 - $28.62/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
