I. Job Summary

The Environmental Services (EVS) Specialist is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall aesthetic of EngageMED's corporate offices and clinical facilities. This role is essential to ensuring a safe and hygienic environment through rigorous disinfecting protocols and general facility upkeep. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of facility safety and security.

II. Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Sanitization

  • Infection Control: Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, kitchens, and office spaces, with a strict focus on high-touch surfaces (e.g., door handles, light switches, and countertops).
  • Floor Maintenance: Execute comprehensive floor care, including vacuuming carpets and sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or waxing hard surfaces.
  • Surface Care: Dust furniture, shelving, and equipment; ensure walls, windows, and mirrors remain streak-free and professional in appearance.
Waste & Supply Management
  • Waste Removal: Empty trash and recycling bins regularly, ensuring all waste is disposed of according to facility protocols.
  • Replenishment: Monitor and restock essential supplies, including soap, paper towels, and paper products, across all restrooms and common areas.
Equipment & Security
  • Equipment Upkeep: Maintain, clean, and properly store all cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuums, mops, and floor buffers) to ensure longevity and safety.
  • Safety & Security: Adhere to all safety procedures and Chemical Hazard protocols. Ensure buildings are secure and doors are locked following after-hours shifts.
III. Job Requirements & Qualifications

Experience & Skills:
  • Experience: Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, dilution ratios, and the proper use of industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Attributes: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
  • Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for the duration of the shift.
  • Strength: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. as required for waste removal and equipment transport.
IV. Schedule & Compensation
  • Hours: This is a Part-Time position totaling approximately 15 hours per week. The specific schedule will be determined based on candidate availability and facility needs on a case-by-case basis.
  • Pay: Compensation is competitive and determined by experience. Specific pay rates will be discussed in detail during the initial phone interview.
