Like military service, hospice care is a team effort. You are invited to join our team!

We pair veteran hospice patients with veteran volunteers. Since they share common military experiences, our volunteers have a unique ability to relate and connect with fellow veterans - providing patients with the compassionate support and service they have earned and deserve.

A NEW OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE

Veteran volunteers help provide both direct and indirect patient support. Examples include:

• Sitting, reminiscing, or reading with patients
• Writing letters
• Watching television/sports or listening to music
• Taking part in veteran recognition ceremonies
• Light house or yard work
• Dog walking
• Assistance in replacing lost military awards
• Providing check-in calls

We are end-of-life care experts and proud 5 Start partners of the "We Honor Veterans" program. Our Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program provides volunteers with the training needed to support military service veterans and their families with in-home hospice care.
