Join our team as a Forklift Operator/Driver and play a key role in keeping our warehouse running safely and efficiently. In this hands-on position, you will operate a seated forklift to load and unload trailers, move pallets throughout the facility, and support daily warehouse operations.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Load and unload trailers with precision, ensuring pallets are stable, correctly counted, and secured for transport.
  • Transport pallets to designated storage, sorting, repair, or shipping areas to support production flow and organization.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections before shift and report any mechanical or safety issues immediately.
  • Change propane tanks or safely charge electric forklifts following company procedures.
  • Verify pallet counts, condition, and load information using documents or electronic systems, acting as a final checkpoint before shipments leave the facility.
  • Operate a seated forklift safely to move, organize, load, and unload pallets, including CHEP, PECO, iGPS, and whitewood pallets throughout the warehouse and yard.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of pallet movements to ensure proper documentation and inventory control.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free to support a safe and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and operational procedures when handling equipment and materials.
  • Support other warehouse functions as needed, including material organization, assisting production teams, or helping maintain overall workflow.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, repair teams, sorters, and drivers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility to adjust to operational needs, schedules, or assignments.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 6 months of recent forklift operation experience (seated forklift preferred).
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift in a fast-paced warehouse environment handling CHEP, PECO, iGPS, and whitewood pallets.
  • Ability to lift, move, and manipulate materials of various weights as required by the site and specific job functions.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass PLAs forklift certification (on-site certification provided if current certification is not transferable).
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate pallet counts, documentation, and load verification.
  • Basic comfort with electronic systems or paperwork used for tracking and documenting loads.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with team members, supervisors, and warehouse staff.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to adapt to operational needs or schedule changes.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a forklift, as well as stand, walk, and stoop as needed during the shift.
  • Ability to safely perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment, which may include moving, positioning, or manipulating materials as required by the job and site operations.
  • Good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and foot control for safe operation of forklifts and other equipment.
  • Ability to listen and understand verbal instructions, equipment sounds, back-up alarms, and safety signals in an active warehouse setting.
  • Vision capabilities required include near vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to safely operate machinery and navigate the facility.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may include variable temperatures, dust, noise, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to remain alert, attentive, and focused on safety while working near forklifts, trailers, and pallet handling operations.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold) and moderate to high noise levels. Steel-toe boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
