Receiving Barn AssistantWe are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Receiving Barn Assistant. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe Receiving Barn Assistant is responsible for overseeing all horses to the receiving barn and coordinate the arrival and departure time with trainers.Other duties include:Make sure stalls are clean and properly beddedAssign stalls to trainers arriving that dayAssign racing slipsGet stakes stalls prepped for horses arriving in other barnsAbility to work required overtimeRegular punctual attendanceMust be able to read, write legibly, understand and speak EnglishAbility to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environmentMust be able to lift 50 lbs.Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidaysAbility to stand for periods of time and work in inclement weather when necessaryPunctual attendance requiredAbility to work required overtime.Other duties as assignedQualification RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
